Larissa Dooley, PhD

Research Scientist

Dr. Larissa Dooley is a psychologist with expertise spanning health psychology, applied environmental psychology, and the mental health impacts of climate change. Her research focuses on applying her knowledge and skills in behavioral science to help mitigate climate change and its associated impacts on mental and physical health. At See Change, Larissa works on the research, design and evaluation of behavior change interventions in the sustainability and health domains. Larissa has a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her work has been published in a number of academic journals including Neuroscience & Biobehavioral Reviews, Brain, Behavior, & Immunity, Stress and Health, and Journal of Affective Disorders. She has been the recipient of fellowships from the National Institute on Aging and the National Institute of General Medical Sciences. She is also the parent organizer of Future Fighters, a child-led environmental group founded by her daughter.
