Duncan Ward is a social scientist with expertise working in energy, climate, and agriculture domains. Duncan holds a BA in Psychology and a BA in Economics from Grinnell College, which allows him to bring together a range of different quantitative methods from these two disciplines to help understand human behavior, and the impact it has on the environment and society. Duncan’s interest in behavioral science started with designing energy feedback programs at Grinnell and continued into his work on Powerley’s energy management platform. Outside of See Change, Duncan collaborates on economic research into the impacts of industrial agriculture on rural communities. Duncan is also a passionate climber, avid reader, and mediocre (but enthusiastic!) guitar player.
